How to Get Doctors and Staff to Embrace an EHR
Posted on February 18, 2013
In the grand scheme of things, selecting and implementing an electronic health record system is the easy part. It’s getting staff to accept the EHR – and to use it to it meaningfully – that’s really hard. Should Patients Have Access to Their Doctors' Notes?
Posted on January 10, 2013
Meaningful use stage 2 encourages the sharing of clinical information with patients. However, many providers feel that doing so could have negative consequences, causing patients to take offense to comments entered in their health record or become unnecessarily worried when looking at data they do not understand. No one really knows whether engaging patients in this way will see positive results for patients or providers – and only time will tell – but one 2012 study might offer healthcare professionals insight into what this type of clinical openness could lead to.
